Councillor

Fraser Wright

I have lived in Gretton for almost all my life, and the village has always been central to who I am and how I choose to spend my time. Over the years, I’ve been involved in several local organisations, which has given me a strong appreciation of the people and groups that help our village thrive.

Professionally, I work as a Development Lead for a global publishing company, where I specialise in improving systems and processes through collaboration, analysis, and problem‑solving. These skills strongly influence the way I approach parish council work: listening carefully, understanding different viewpoints, and helping turn ideas into practical, workable outcomes.

To me, Gretton has always been more than a place to live. It’s a community with a strong identity and a collective spirit that has endured as the village has grown and changed. As a parish councillor, I remain committed to supporting that spirit—working alongside fellow councillors, volunteers, and village organisations to preserve what makes Gretton special while also helping it adapt to future needs.

I aim to contribute to a council that is approachable, responsive, and proactive, ensuring residents’ voices are heard and supporting the many people who give their time and energy to our village.
